Brian Holmes is an essayist, autonomous researcher and multimedia cartographer. He has a PhD in Romance languages and literatures but strayed into other subjects long ago, and always prefers to work somewhere out in the field. Over the last twenty years his essays on art, social movements and political economy have been distributed, translated and read around the world. Now back in the US after two decades in Europe, Brian is a member of the groups Deep Time Chicago and Compass, as well as a collaborator of Casa Río in Argentina.
